Inspiring Music Gaming Piece #4
When we think of a game like Monopoly and we think of a song like Silver Or Gold, we think of how we don't have to be defined by the Enemy because we are defined in being refined in who God says we are.
I want to share some of those lyrics now. The lyrics say this: Silver and gold, silver and gold, oh I'd rather have Jesus than silver and gold, No fame or fortune, nor riches untold, Oh, I'd rather have Jesus than silver and gold, Don't give me a mansion on top of the hill, Don't give me the world with a shallow thrill, But just give me a Savior, my life He can hold, I'd rather have Jesus than silver and gold, Woke up this morning, feeling kind of down, I called on my best friend, she could not be found, But I called on Jesus, my life He can hold, I'd rather have Jesus than silver and gold.
You see in Monopoly it's great to play with friends, it's great to enjoy all the things you can do in a game like that, but sometimes what's more precious than Sliver Or Gold, is the one who created us in His Image.
The one who made us to be Uniquely, Fearfully, and Wonderfully Made in the Image of Him and the one that allows us to have a pure heart of Faith, Redemption, Mercy, Love, Grace, and Peace in our hearts.
If we allow the Enemy to come into our life to steal, kill, and destroy all of that, then what are we doing?
I mean, truly what are we doing if we allowed that? Well, we would be letting the Enemy win. We would allow the Enemy to kill our peace, our joy, rob us of happiness and rob us of what is pure and Holy.
We need to keep going and standing on the promises of God's Plan. We need to keep fighting the good fight of Faith and keep fighting and running with endurance to run our race well.
If we didn't have Jesus, where would any of us as Beloved Children be? Well, I can tell you we would be feeling sad, in despair, lonely, wondering if we were good enough, strong enough, and loved enough.
You see, those are lies the Enemy tries to tell us to keep us from being who God made us to be in Him.
The Enemy would not want us to be happy, the Enemy would want us to be in a place of isolation.
When we have people who surround us with love and the faithfulness of a humbled heart that shows humility and pureness of the best interests laid out for us, that is when we begin to see the best friends that then truly become best family forever life friends and that they are the ones who stay forever.
